Privacy Policy

• Account data — your name, email, and authentication details.
• Order & ticket data — the events and tickets you buy or sell, order history, and ticket holder details.
• Payment data — processed directly by Stripe. We receive limited confirmation details (e.g. status, last four digits) but never store your full card number.
• Organizer payout data — bank/payout details, which are encrypted at rest and handled via Stripe Connect.
• Technical & usage data — device, browser, IP address, and how you interact with the Platform, used to operate and secure it.

• to create and manage your account;
• to process orders, deliver tickets, and handle payments and refunds;
• to send transactional emails (confirmations, ticket delivery);
• to operate, secure, and improve the Platform, and prevent fraud and abuse;
• to comply with legal and tax obligations.

Where applicable law (such as the GDPR) requires it, we rely on: the performance of a contract (to deliver tickets you buy), our legitimate interests (to secure and improve the service and prevent fraud), your consent (where requested, e.g. certain communications), and legal obligations (e.g. accounting and tax).

We share personal data only as needed to run the service:

• Event Organizers — receive the order and attendee information necessary to fulfil and manage their events;
• Stripe — our payment and payout processor;
• Service providers — infrastructure, email delivery, and storage providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards;
• Legal — where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell your personal data.

We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then only as long as required to meet legal, tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention obligations, after which it is deleted or anonymised.

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields such as organizer payout details, access controls, and optional two-factor authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to incidents.

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own by us or our service providers. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place (such as standard contractual clauses) for such transfers.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@waretix.com. For data tied to a specific event, you may also need to contact the Organizer. You may have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to run the Platform (for example, to keep you signed in and to secure checkout), and, where applicable, to understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

The Platform is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
